How important is knowing your worth to you? Knowing we are worthy of good things has such an impact on what we feel we truly deserve and how we treat ourselves in the process. it also can affect how others treat us. We set the tone and teach others how we want to be treated. Knowing our worth we could say has a lot to do with self -respect. How much do we love ourselves and value ourselves and value who we truly are?
If we do feel we are important or worthy enough then, we will be capable of giving ourselves the best; as oppose to feeling we are undeserving of the best. How then can we give ourselves the best, surely we will then settle for less. It all depends on what we feel we deserve. Surely knowing your worth is vital.
We now live in a society, where there is a huge amount of focus on material items, money and externals. many people are more concerned with their appearance, than who they are inside. We only have to look to Instagram, and other forms of social media. A lot of people are now very image conscious. but we must not blame social media or celebrities, we have to take responsibility of our own life and experience.
We will find that looking great on the outside can be wonderful temporarily, however it does not give us real confidence, social skills or fill the empty void we may feel inside. Material items and money will make us comfortable, but will not provide for us everything that we need. We may need to look inside for our real worth and purpose on earth.
I ask the question again, but in a different way. Who are we inside of this body and do we love and value our uniqueness?
We need to stop proving our worth. We are already worthy.
We have to stop trying to prove our worth to others.
We are not our bank accounts or our jobs, we are more than that. It is important to remember that we are human beings not human doings. The experience with my mental health has given me the opportunity to have time out to get to know myself better. To get to know who I am and what I truly want in my life. To find my real purpose in life and to value me. All the rat race and distractions aside, when I put all those things down and as the curtains close it is only me that I am left with.

The Jobs market is so unpredictable, as is money and material things. A recent leak in your home or a natural disaster that tears homes down to the ground, can make you realise that these things are not something to base your own self worth or value on, they are temporary, so is your life. surely we can not spend the rest of our life believing we are less than what we are worth, and not valuing ourselves.
People who retire find that they either embrace retirement or get very depressed and can not cope with it. As they are learn to be alone for the first time away from the hustle and bustle of life.
In life we are always learning and growing

knowing your worth is giving yourself self love.
I am still learning more about my worth. Surely we will always keep growing, learning about and finding out more about our worth and really knowing what we are worth. Just like myself, sometimes we can forget our worth during certain diffucult situations in our lives. But life teaches us who we are, that we are somebody. That we are worthy and worthy of the best. Life opens our eyes with wake up calls and brings us back to knowing our worth when we have forgotten it. It is in the realising that it has always been there, we discover that we were worthy all along. Despite what others taught or told us, in life we are always learning and growing. The lessons in life never end to change and mould us into who we are meant to be.
